Beach Chic!

Most LA Belle's spend spring break on the snow white beaches of gorgeous Destin, Florida and this year I had the pleasure of running into some very stylish ladies. I had to snap a pic of Charlotte and Samantha sporting the epitome of beach chic with these one-piece rompers. An easy and casual outfit, yet so put together sporting the it style of the season! Charlotte's "Hot & Delicious" dark denim strapless was purchased at Rodeo Boutique in Baton Rouge and Samantha's adorable "Celebrity Pink Jeans" pink belted romper is from Vertigo also in Baton Rouge and seriously shows off her perfect tan. Both retail at under $60 for a full outfit steal!

it's pouring out!
The sky opened up in a torrential downpour this morning and it made me run upstairs and dig a VIP staple of my bad weather wardrobe out of my closet... I'd searched for the perfect rain boots for a year before buying these "Hunter Lady N's" last fall and I'm super excited for the opportunity to give them a late Spring re-appearance! (Keep in mind it's pretty hot down here) Made since 1856 to withstand Scotland and Britain's unpredictable weather as well as protect the feet of troops during WWI/II, I figure they could survive a southern squall. Woo hoo for Louisiana rain...

ABC Carpet and Home

Anyone who knows me at all knows that when I am in New York, this store calls me like a beacon... I don't ever spend a long time there, or a lot of money, but I fell like my obsession with this place is worth a blog posting (though this will probably be the first of many about ABCC&H). The place is visually amazing. There are tons of home accessories, tableware, candles, textiles, etc, absolutely everywhere and piled high to the rafters. The sheer volume of goods creates a quite the textural effect. Basically I want to touch everything. You can also pretty much find anything and everything furniture related you'd want at this store. It's ridiculous the variety of styles and tastes covered by the merch - including everything from retro and modern to shabby chic and serious antiques under one roof of seven floors of glorious interior goods. It's eclectic, but if you have time to pass through it's ALWAYS worth a peak. Planning a trip up soon to manage my withdrawal!
